ONE DAY IN ITHACA

A boat trip is a must-do before you leave Ithaca. Visit Afales, the most beautiful bay in Ithaca, and the famous Platia Ammos beach; a wonderful place with the most amazing turquoise waters and breathtaking sandy beaches.
Try snorkeling at the rock gardens close to the coast and swim in the crystal-clear water. On our way back to Vathy we will also pass from cape Agios Ioannis (the northernmost point of the island) and Marmakas bay, one of the best snorkeling spots of the Ionian Sea. We will visit Kioni or Frikes for a snack and a cold coffee or beer. Another swimming place everyone is really fond of is Nisaki; a beautiful small bay with waters calm as a swimming pool. The sight of entering Vathy harbor in the afternoon is the ideal parting scene of this trip.
